Meaning of the flag:
The outer blue border of the flag represents peace and harmony. The crimson red which is also the national color of Nepal represents the blood of brave Nepalese and two triangles symbolize great mountain of Nepal whereas the moon and sun symbolize Nepal will remain in the world until there are moon and sun in the sky. The moon also symbolizes purity and calmness of Nepalese people. These moons and sun also represents higher cold mountains and lower hot lands.
Flag of Nepal is the only non-square or non-rectangle flag in the entire universe which is also considered as the most mathematical flag because of its configuration.
